Team study rooms
From March to September, 2026 (you will find the exact dates on our website), three selected team study rooms (no. 11, 14, and 28) are in a new trial operation. Please read the General Rules of this trial operation.
If you cannot get into a reserved study room, please call 232 002 981 or contact a library staff member at the Main Services Desk on Floor Two during assisted opening hours.
Team Study Rooms (floors four to six) are ideal for group projects, study, and research. Online reservations are available at a discounted fee.
- To reserve a Team Study Room, you must have sufficient funds in your NTK financial account.
- You can reserve a Team Study Room yourself through the reservation system or with the help of a librarian at NTK Main Information desk.
- You will be able to access the Team Study Room using your patron card at the start of the reservation and for the duration of the rental. We ask that you comply with the Appendix 10: General Rules for the Use of Rentable Study Rooms and Classrooms.
Newly registered patrons and patrons with a newly registered ID chip card must wait one hour after registration before reserving a study room (due to delays updating our library systems).
General Rules for the Use of Team Study Rooms
To ensure the comfort of all our patrons, the use of Team Study Rooms is governed by the Conditions of Use of the Integrated Library and the NTK House Rules.
- It is not allowed to take away or move equipment, technology, chairs, etc. in and out of the study rooms or otherwise manipulate the study room furnishings. The number of workstations is limited by the capacity of the given study room.
- One Patron can only have one active reservation at a time.
- The Patron who made the reservation must be present in the Team Study Room.
- Patrons confirm that they will not conduct commercial activities in the Team Study Room before paying for the reservation.
- Making reservations for the benefit of third parties is not allowed.
Reservation Period
The minimum reservation period is one hour. You can make longer reservations for a half-day, day or week, depending on your needs and availability.
Cost
If you are a student, professor, graduate student, or researcher from a Czech university or from the Czech Academy of Science, the discounted fee is 30 CZK/hour. This fee is charged to ensure reservations are honored.
If you are from another organization and have longer-term needs, please discuss your request with our Event and Conference Services team.
Equipment
Team Study Rooms No. 1–18 with the capacity of 8 to 10 workplaces as well as the smaller Team Study Rooms No. 28–29 with the capacity of 4 workplaces are intended primarily for team/group work, joint processing of assignments, etc. They are equipped with electrical and data network connections as well as flipcharts/magnetic whiteboards.
You can buy whiteboard markers and erasers in an office supply vending machine on the third floor (the machine only accepts coins).
How to cancel
In the case of Team Study Room reservations made through the original reservation system, we will refund the fee charged for the reservation if you cancel the reservation more than 24 hours before its start. You can cancel the reservation yourself through the reservation system. This does not apply to Team Study Rooms no. 11, 14, and 28.
For the three Team Study Rooms in trial operation (no. 11, 14, and 28), the rental fee will be deducted immediately upon reservation. If you then cancel the reservation within the required period, the fee will be refunded to your NTK financial account.
